The Soo Line rostered 925 Pullman-Standard 4750 cu. ft. PS-2CD covered hoppers built new for the SOO from 1976 through 1980, the most numerous car type in the covered hopper fleet. These cars are immediately identifiable with their white color, green Soo Line lettering, and prominent dulux gold wheat sheaf. This car of the same type seems to be a one-of-a-kind variation with a medium gray color, black Soo Line lettering, unique SOO reporting marks and car number, and the prominent yellow wheat sheaf.
These models were again produced for us by Accurail based on their Pullman-Standard 4750 covered hopper kit. Artwork for all lettering was developed and provided by the Soo Line Historical and Technical Society
